Where did the music go? Simple. It went to 105.9 The Oasis.
105.9 The Oasis is “Where The Music Went”. In creating the station, we looked around the Cincinnati and Dayton markets, as well as the rest of the country. We found that, in the vast majority of cases, stations have become over-researched clones trying to deliver essentially the same audience by playing the same few hundred songs over and over.
We also noted with great interest that there were thousands of songs- familiar songs that were huge hits in their day that just disappeared. These songs “aged out” as they got older and didn't focus group “test” well with the younger audiences stations were seeking.
The result was a musical desert. We created 105.9 The Oasis to solve this problem. Our station is where the music went. A much larger library means that our station won't bore you to tears with endless repetition. High quality, music-focused personalities means that you get relevant commentary. Finally, our focus on music from the 1960s, 70s and 80s means that- if you are over 45- there is finally a station playing what you want to hear in an atmosphere that makes you feel welcome. All of this is presented on a single, powerful FM signal that is easily received in Cincinnati, Dayton and all points in between.
105.9 The Oasis plays all of the music that you never hear on the radio any more. Where did the music go? Simple. It went to 105.9 The Oasis.
